Ingredients :
A bunch of spinach,
Oil - 1 tbspn,
Red chillie powder - 1/2Tbsp,
green chillie - 3 to 4no,
chopped onion-1/2 cup,
Chopped tomatoes- 1medium size
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Tamarind-1 small ball size
Salt as per taste
Seasoning:
mustard - 1 tspn,Jeera - 1/2 tspn,Crushed gralic 2no and Curry leaves 5 to 6no
Method :
1.Heat oil in a pan, add finely shopped spinach,red chillies,green chillies,chopped tomatoes,chopped onion,turmeric powder and tamarind.
2.Mix well. put the lid.
3.Keep stirring periodically.
4.Remove from the flame once spinach becomes soft.It may take 10 to 15mins.
5.Heat oil add mustard seeds, jeera , crushed garlic and fry for a min now add the curry leaves and this to the cooked spinach and serve.
Goes well with hot ghee rice, chapathi.
