Beerakaya tokku pachadi(Ridge gourd skin chutney)



INGREDIENTS:
Skin of the 2 ridge gourds
Peanuts(roasted)--------2tbsp
Garlic.............2 full pod
Green chillies............3
Red chillies...............4
Cumin seeds...........1tsp
Salt ........as per taste
Tamarind........small ball size
Oil...............1 tbsp

FOR THE TAMPERING:
Urad dall.........1 tbsp
Cumin seeds..........1 tsp
Mustard seeds............1 tsp
Curry leaves ..............4 to 5no

METHOD:
Peel the skin of the ridge gourds.Chop it into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped skin.
Cover and cook until it gets soft.
Now add the rest of the ingredients and fry for 5 mins along with the ridge gourd skin.
Remove it from the pan and keep aside to cool.

Grind the roasted peanuts.Then add the rest of the ingredients and grind the fried skin adding tamarind,garlic and salt .When it become a smooth paste remove it from the mixer and add ot with to the tampering.
Heat 4 tbsp of oil in the pan and add mustard seeds.When they splutter add all the ingredients for tampering.
Cool the tampering..
Serve with hot ghee rice..
